Steve Bousquet is editorial page editor of the Sun Sentinel. Previously, he reported for three decades at the Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times, and was the Times' Tallahassee bureau chief from 2005-18. He began covering city and county government in Broward County in 1981. He has a master's degree in U.S. history from Florida State University.
Dan Sweeney is Deputy Opinions Editor of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, where he handles letters and op-eds, wrangles columnists and occasionally writes. Previously, Dan reported on the newspaper’s audience engagement team and covered state politics. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 2000 and has lived in South Florida ever since.
Fred Grimm is a columnist for the Sun Sentinel. He has been a journalist since 1968 and spent 41 years at Miami Herald as metro reporter, southern bureau chief and local affairs columnist. Winner of the National Headliners Award, two Green Eyeshade Awards, the Robert T. Morse Writer’s Award and others, Grimm has lived in Fort Lauderdale since 1991.
Randy Schultz, a Sun Sentinel opinion columnist, was editorial page editor of The Palm Beach Post from 1990 until 2013 and managing editor from 1985 until 1990. A 1974 graduate of the University of Tennessee, he lives in Boca Raton, his home since 1985, with his wife, Shelley. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Dave Hyde has been a Sun Sentinel sports columnist since 1990. He was named the National Headliner Award columnist of the year in 2016 and finished second in the National Headliner and Associated Press Sports Editor contest five other times. He’s won the APSE award for investigatory work and ranked in the Top 10 of APSE writing contests 15 times.
Ira Winderman has covered the Miami Heat for every one of their seasons for the Sun Sentinel, witnessing more than 2,300 of the team's games. He has been honored by the Pro Basketball Writers Association and Florida Sports Writers Association for his work. He previously has covered the NHL, NFL, boxing, auto racing and the University of Florida.
Omar Kelly covers the Miami Dolphins and NFL for the Sun Sentinel. A Florida A&M University graduate and South Florida native, he has also covered the Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes and Miami Heat during his career as a sports reporter, which began in 1997.
